Miss 4S1Hello! My name is Melissa.
My purpose is to convince YOU, the students of 4S1, three things. Namely, why I am right for the job as Miss 4S1, what I can serve as and what I can give YOU.
As with anyone, you'd want the best for yourself, wouldn't you? That's exactly what I'm here for. Being an all-rounder is essential. How many people are actually cheerful, sensitive, tactful, mature, confident and are loyal to their friends? Sure, you might be able to find some of these qualities in those around you. But are you able to find that all-in-one package?
As a sec 4 in my CCA, which is NPCC, I hold the role as a treasurer and as the person in charge of my peers, fellow sec 4s. As the unit treasurer, I carry responsibility with me when I am entrusted petty cash to return to people who buy items for our CCA.
Recently, one of my squadmate's father passed away. She was absent for awhile since she was attending his funeral overseas. Having lost a dear one before, I knew how she felt. I gave her space at the beginning, allowing her to accept the fact of his passing. As time progressed, I began to talk to her more, encouraging her to return to her usual self. When talking to her, I tiptoed around the touchy subject, at the same time inquiring about how she felt and how she was holding up. Sometimes, it felt like I was taking three steps forward and five steps back, but that was all required in building up the relationship with her again and tearing down these walls she had built around herself. Soon, we were laughing, joking, having fun again, just the same as before.
Now, how YOU will benefit from ME being Miss 4S1. I will serve as a bridge for you: linking you to your teachers. That way, the teachers can hear about your thoughts and you can hear about theirs. All this without the trouble of demerits, heightened emotions and frustration. Sounding too good to be true now?
As I'd stated earlier, my purpose was to convice YOU that i am right for the job of Miss 4S1, what I serve as and what I can give YOU. Wait a second. Wouldn't Mdm Tng be horrified that my purpose was lacking something?
It's the impact of course! And that would be for YOU to vote ME as Miss 4S1. So, what're you waiting for?
